Brett Cassidy is the editor-in-chief of Behind the Covers. He started the site to answer a question that most music writing skips past: who actually made the image on the sleeve, and why does it look the way it does?

Every entry on the site is researched against published interviews, designer and photographer monographs, label histories, liner notes, and the design press, then written and reviewed before it goes live. When credible sources disagree, the article says so rather than picking the most dramatic version.

He oversees the site's editorial standards, sourcing, and corrections, and works with the Behind the Covers editorial team on the research and production behind each story.
