Behind the Covers is an independent publication. We'd genuinely like to hear from you — whether you spotted a mistake, want to suggest an album we should cover, or have first-hand knowledge of how a cover was made.
The fastest way to reach us is by email: behindthecovers@protonmail.com. We read every message and try to respond to substantive ones within a few business days.
What to write about
- Corrections. If we got a credit, a date, or a fact wrong, please tell us — ideally with a source we can verify. See our corrections policy for what to include.
- Designer and photographer credits. If you designed or photographed a cover we've written about — or you worked with someone who did — we'd love to hear the story directly.
- Album suggestions. We're always taking requests. You can also use our public request an album page.
- Licensing and permissions. All artwork on this site is reproduced in low resolution for editorial and educational purposes under fair use. If you represent a rights holder and have a specific concern, please email us with the URL and we'll respond promptly.
- Press, partnerships, and sponsorship. Reach out by email with a short summary and we'll follow up if it's a fit.
What we don't do
We don't accept paid placements inside articles, we don't publish guest posts, and we don't add backlinks in exchange for payment. If your message is a link-building pitch, you won't get a response.
