Use of Services
You may use our Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access our Services
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of our Services
- Use our Services for any unlawful purpose
Intellectual Property
All editorial content, including stories, analyses, and commentary, is owned by Behind the Covers and protected by copyright.
Album cover artwork displayed on our platform is shown in low-resolution format for editorial, educational, and critical commentary purposes under the fair use doctrine. All album artwork rights remain with their respective copyright holders.
Subscriptions
Behind the Covers offers free and premium tiers. Premium subscriptions are available at the following price points:
- Monthly — $2.99/month
- Annual — $19.99/year
- Lifetime — $39.99 one-time purchase
Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store via RevenueCat. Billing, renewal, and cancellation are governed by the respective store's terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's subscription settings at any time.
Free Tier Limitations
Free users have access to the following:
- Album summary plus the first two paragraphs of each story
- Up to 10 saved favorites
- 3 random album reveals per day
- Ad-supported experience (banner and interstitial ads)
Premium Tier Benefits
Premium subscribers receive:
- Full, unabridged album cover stories
- Unlimited saved favorites
- Unlimited random album reveals
- Ad-free experience
Affiliate Links
Our Services contain affiliate links to Amazon and Apple Music. When you make a purchase through these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content.
Advertisements
Free-tier users will see advertisements served by Google AdMob. Ad content is determined by Google and is not controlled by Behind the Covers. You can upgrade to premium to remove all ads.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Our Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that our Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Behind the Covers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of our Services.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
